How the score works

A transparent 0–100 score.

Each check has a weight. A category’s score is the weighted share of its checks your site passes; the overall score is the weighted average of the categories. Checks that could not run are left out — never counted as failures.

Read the full methodology
Excellent (90–100)
Fundamentals in place; refine.
Good (75–89)
Solid, with a few gaps.
Needs Attention (55–74)
Problems that cost visitors.
Poor (35–54)
Holding the business back.
Critical (0–34)
Urgent work needed.

What it’s worth

Website and domain value, estimated honestly.

Website replacement value

What it would cost to recreate the site with the pages, features and design complexity the check detected, priced from BusinessBooster’s own rate card. Every line of the calculation is shown.

Website value calculator

Domain value

An estimate from the name itself: extension, length, real words, commercial keywords, hyphens and — where the registry publishes it — age. No invented comparable sales.

Domain value checker

Indicative digital asset value

The two added together, with a confidence level. It is an estimate from public characteristics — not a formal business valuation or a sale price, and it never uses revenue we do not have.

Limitations

What an automated check can’t tell you.

We would rather you trust the report than be impressed by it, so here is what it does not do.

  • It reads the HTML your server sends. Content built later by JavaScript may not be seen — the report says when that is likely.
  • It does not log in, submit forms or test anything behind a password, and it is not a security penetration test.
  • Accessibility checks are automated; full WCAG conformance needs manual testing with assistive technology.
  • It does not know your traffic, rankings, revenue or conversion rate, so it never states them. “Conversion readiness” is judged from what is on the page.
  • Value estimates come from public characteristics and our pricing model, not from private sales data.

  • Impact and difficulty for each
  • Step-by-step implementation
  • Quick wins and a 30-day plan
  • A brief to forward to your developer

Questions

About the website checker.

Is the website checker really free?

Yes. The Website Health Check, the score, the detailed results and both value estimates are free, with no sign-up. The only paid option is BusinessBooster Recommendations (€9.99), a personalised, prioritised action plan written from your report.

What does the checker look at?

The homepage and up to 7 of the most useful other pages it can find (services, pricing, about, contact, booking), plus robots.txt, the XML sitemap, a sample of images and scripts, up to 25 internal links, and Google’s Lighthouse test of the homepage on a simulated phone.

Can I check a website that is not mine?

Yes — for example a competitor’s, or one you are thinking of buying. The checker only reads pages that are already public, the way a search engine does, and respects robots.txt for every page beyond the one you enter.

Why is my report marked “partial”?

Some checks could not run — usually because Google’s lab test did not finish in time, the site builds its content with JavaScript, or a page took too long. Those checks are marked “Not tested” and left out of the score, rather than counted against you.

Does a good score mean my site is WCAG compliant or will rank first on Google?

No. Automated checks find common, measurable problems. Accessibility compliance needs manual testing with real assistive technology, and nobody can guarantee search rankings. The score tells you how well the fundamentals are in place.

What happens to the website address I enter?

It is used to run the check and stored with your private report, which only people with the link can open and which is deleted after 30 days. We do not ask for your name or email to run a check.
